  • The Lalibella Loafer is crafted in Ethiopia from rich, smooth-as-velvet black suede leather. The midnight black suede paired with the subtlest dash of vintage gold on the piping will add an effortlessly chic polish to any look. Named after the Lalibella region of Ethiopia where the the very first pair of these shoes were worn wandering through the ancient rock-hewn churches, these loafers are ready to take you on a grand adventure.

    Crafted from Ethiopian sheepskin sourced from local Ethiopian farmers. These shoes are made at one of the oldest Ethiopian-owned shoe factories in the country.

  • Sseko loafers are available in standard American whole and half sizes. The loafers run slightly large, and we recommend sizing down half a size in the loafer (if you are normally a size 8, we recommend a size 7.5 in the loafer).

  • Sseko Designs is an ethical fashion brand that hires high potential women in Uganda to make sandals to enable them to earn money through dignified employment that will go directly towards their college educations and ensure they will continue pursuing their dreams. To date, they've enabled 60 women to continue on to university. They currently employ 50 women in Uganda from all walks of life.

    In addition to their work in Uganda, they design and source ethically made products from East Africa. They believe that good business can be an incredibly powerful force for positive social change.
